Your Personal Buyer in Japan
Sometimes the item you want isn't in our current inventory. Maybe it's a specific Disney pin from a past event, a particular knife style from a specific maker, a vintage toy you've been hunting for years, or a souvenir from a place we haven't listed yet. That's where custom sourcing comes in. Tell us what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to find it on our next trip.
How It Works
Tell Us What You Want
Submit your request via email with as much detail as possible. Include photos, links, or descriptions of the item.
We Research and Quote
We'll research availability, estimate the cost including the item price and our sourcing fee, and send you a quote.
We Source It in Japan
On our next trip, we visit the shops, parks, or markets where your item is most likely to be found.
We Ship It to You
Once we're back in California, we pack it carefully and ship it to your door with full tracking.
What We Can Source
We source across a wide range of categories: Disney park merchandise (Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea), Japanese kitchen knives, premium stationery, gashapon and capsule toys, vintage finds from secondhand shops (Book Off, Hard Off, Suruga-ya), traditional crafts and ceramics, transit collectibles, regional souvenirs, and more. If it exists in Japan, there's a good chance we can find it.
Pricing and Terms
- A research fee may apply for complex requests
- A deposit is required when you approve the quote
- If we can't find the item, your deposit is refunded in full (minus any research fee)
- Timelines depend on our travel schedule
- Once purchased on your behalf, the sale is final
